Poverty Reduction and Inclusiveness
Myanmar is currently undergoing a process of deep and fast economic transformation since opening its doors in 2015. But the transition threatens to benefit only a few. Therefore, the driving forces must be harnessed in a way that the rapid economic upward trend may lift its disadvantaged population out of poverty and ensure responsible management of natural resources. In aims to improve livelihoods for as many people as possible, MYSAP promotes decent working conditions throughout its target groups and stronger opportunities for women.
The programme aims to create and strengthen links among dominant large-scale, medium and small-scale enterprises to strengthen the role of SMEs in the sector. Linkages throughout value chains play an equally important role. MYSAP works to connect input suppliers to farmers, farmers to transport of aquaculture products, processing and sales to improve transparency and competitiveness for the benefit of SMEs.
