Preparing to provide extension and service training to over 1,000 direct beneficiary households in the Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and the Shan State in 2019/20 fish culture season, INLAND MYSAP conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) training course in Kale Township 18-25 June 2019.
Thirty three trainees, from the Department of Fisheries, Ar Yone Oo, BRAC Myanmar, Malteser International and the project received training on small-scale aquaculture, vegetable and fruit production systems, improved human nutrition and use the Green Way mobile phone application.
Improved human nutrition training was delivered provided by Dr. Saw Eden (Nutrition Advisor, Save the Children), while WorldFish Myanmar and INLAND MYSAP staff, supported by key specialist staff from implementing partners presented other specialist topics. Practical sessions on liming, identifying strong fish seed, seed transportation and sampling using a cast net were conducted at the nearby Khai Kam DoF station. Nutrition practical sessions including preparation and cooking of small-indigenous fish species.
